Introduction

"The Saudi Arabia Green Project is one of the most ambitious afforestation initiatives globally, launched as part of the four major Riyadh projects by King Salman bin Abdulaziz in March 2019. Aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the project aims to elevate Riyadh among the top 100 livable cities worldwide by 2030.

The initiative focuses on transforming the Saudi capital through the planting of 7.5 million trees and enhancing access to green spaces. Anticipated benefits include improved air quality, reduced temperatures, and the promotion of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle for the city's residents. The project encompasses afforestation of various urban areas, including neighborhood gardens, contributing to enhancing the urban landscape and providing public green spaces.

By greening diverse urban regions and cultivating neighborhood gardens, the Saudi Arabia Green Project aspires to foster a healthier lifestyle, contribute to environmental sustainability, and support ongoing development initiatives."
